Temporary Closure
The Castle Coffee Shop at Pontefract Castle will be closed from Saturday 17 February until Tuesday 26 March.
This is due to ongoing staff sickness absence.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.
The Castle Coffee Shop is still open Monday 12 Feb to Friday 16 Feb this week for half term, 11am to 3pm.
The rest of the site will remain open as normal.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite from all your exploring at Pontefract Castle, make your way to The Castle Coffee Shop based in the Visitor Centre. The Coffee Shop offers freshly roasted coffee provided by local coffee company Recent Beans as well as a selection of hot and cold drinks, mouth-watering cakes and snacks.
There’s a stash of books and crayons for little visitors on rainy days and a magnificent castle themed adventure playground to keep them busy while you relax and enjoy something delicious.
You can pick up a loyalty card at the Castle Coffee Shop that can also be used at The Boat House Café at Pugneys Country Park, The Woodland Café at Anglers Country Park and at The Café @ The Park.
